Privacy policy
Queen Gardeners is a small lawn, garden and snow care business in Toronto, Ontario. This page explains, in plain words, what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada's private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you call, text, email us or request a quote, we collect your name, phone number and/or email, address or postal code, details about your property and any photos you choose to send.
How we use it
Only to reply to your request, prepare a quote, schedule and carry out the work, invoice you, and contact you about your service. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing. By sending us a request you agree to us using your information for these purposes.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted services to run the business: our website is hosted by Netlify, which also receives the quote form; fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; and we use phone, text and email to talk to you. These providers may store data outside Canada (for example in the United States) and only handle it so their service works.
Photos of your property
We may photograph our work for our records. We only publish photos of a client's property with their permission, and never show house numbers, licence plates or people's faces. We remove location data (GPS) from every photo we publish.
How long we keep it
We keep client records while you're a client and for as long as needed for accounting and legal reasons, then delete them. Quote requests that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the two of us who run the business, on password-protected accounts and devices.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time: call or text (437) 559-1238 or email queengardeners@outlook.com. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
